Christmas Traditions

I LOVE Christmas and all the fun family  traditions. Here are a few of our FAVORITE traditions.
(Our lovely dancing santa, better know as grandma hips to some people:)

It's not Christmas without making a gingerbread train, or house.
Our all time favorite tradition we have been doing the last 3 years is this special little Elf we named Orchard.

ELF ON THE SHELF. Here are a few of his daily hiding spots. Yes he is moved everyday and Ivorie LOVES to look for his new spot. She eats so much better when she knows "ORCHARD" the elf is watching her.

I just love the holidays. What is some of your family Christmas traditions?

HEBER CREEPER (North Pole Express)
For as long as I can remember I have ALWAYS wanted to go ride the Polar Express Train in Heber.
I finally was able to make up enough excuses to make it worth going.(i.e. Ivorie LOVES trains, here favorite movie that we watch 10 times a day is Polar Express, and her 2nd Birthday is in 10 days)
Iv's twin Sawyer was also able to come enjoy the ride to the North Pole with us.

Ivorie, patiently looking for Santa and the North Pole
HAHAHA yep as sad as it is this is what we waited for (My house looks more like the North Pole then this)
But it was still GREAT and MAGICAL to see the faces of the little ones light up when Santa finally arrived on the train. I am glad we were able to finally experience the Polar Express!!! Hope everyone is having an amazing holiday season so far.

SO PROUD!!

I am so proud of this little nugget.
Ivorie go cut really bad the other day from my razor roller cutter which I used to cut material with.
She had to get 6 stitches in here tiny little hand.
She had to be the STRONGEST and BRAVEST girl ever to get stitches.
We love you so much sweetie. Hope your heal up fast!

Scarecrow and a Pumpkin Patch

As much as I HATE the up coming cold weather. I love FALL!!!
and picking pumpkins!

Especially big warty looking pumpkins:)

A few weeks ago my Girl Scout troop was invited to make some scarecrows for the annual Park City Scarecrow Festival.
me, Ivorie, and my niece Makaela got to go help the girls out since we were short half of them.
I have to say making a REAL scarecrow is A LOT of work and there is soooooo much pre planning involved.

I had NO idea.

Anyways, I think our scarecrows turned out pretty cute. Thanks for the invite ladies. It was so much fun. See you next Monday!

P.S. sad to say it but I really am short when 12 year old girls tower over me:)
